The U.S. Department of Energy and its JUMP team are hosting a cool networking event in Chicago this Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Makers, entrepreneurs, students and enthusiasts are invited to participate in the brainstorming session and pitch ideas to the JUMP team. Ultimately, the participants with the best ideas will compete for prizes that include: cash, accelerator programs and industry event recognition. If you’re in town be sure to check it out.

The event will be held at the Chicago Innovation Exchange (Promontory Point Meeting Room – 1452 E 53rd St 2nd Floor, Chicago, IL 60615).

The schedule:

5:00 – 5:30pm: Overview and intro to challenges
5:30 – 6:30pm: Team formation, Solution storming, Business model canvas
6:30 – 7:30pm: Pitch & Critique
7:30 – 8:00pm: Networking and opportunity to submit ideas
